SARBJIT RESIGN WATCH

[email to city council]

Former councilman Mike Hill lasted a whole year on council after being caught self-dealing. Sarbjit Bains has so far lasted eight months. Neither could have done it without The Northern Light coverup of their crimes.

But a new day has dawned--not at The Northern Light unfortunately--and light is starting to shine on Blaine. Bains, Hill, Harmon, and Steward will be spotlighted as architects of racketeering. That's some distinction.

BLAINE CIVIC NIGHTMARE

December 15 letter to Whatcom County: In my petition for a protection order and in my November 4 oral statement to Whatcom District Court Judge Angela Anderson, I observed that I wonder how the demonization of me by Blaine Mayor Mary Lou Steward, Blaine City Manager Mike Harmon, and former Blaine City Councilman Mike Hill--that  inspired the death threats  by David Brudvik--will affect my ability to continue living an active civic life, as I have done for forty years. After the exposure of Brudvik in The Northern Light as a convicted violent felon, I got my answer: people are afraid. In order to continue the official self-dealing that has become the hallmark of the Steward administration, Chief of Police Rodger Funk has joined the mayor in defaming and intimidating me and my civic associates, who are engaged in lawful petition for redress of grievances to county, state, and federal agencies, as well as appeals of city land use and water resource plans and decisions. ...

BLAINE TOXIC COVERUP

2/25/25 letter to City of Blaine : BLAINE TOXIC COVERUP A Town that Never Learns By  Jay Taber Blaine Water Coalition Blaine City Council member  Mike Hill --recently under investigation by the Whatcom County Sheriff's Department for accosting Blaine Water Coalition activist Otto Pointer at the November 12, 2024, city council meeting (Case #24A39027)--has a problem with his plan to develop condos across Peace Portal Drive from his  Chevron  station downtown. In a November 28, 2023,  Hazardous Materials Analysis Report  presented by GeoEngineers to the City of Blaine, Hill's Chevron is listed as a 'high-risk' Department of Ecology site (Cleanup Site ID # 9280) due to confirmed releases of petroleum products--including  Benzene --on and off the property,  contaminating the groundwater  that migrates from the Chevron station under Starbuck's toward  Cain Creek  and  Drayton Harbor . The  Drayton Harbor estuary  is home t...

HARMON'S WHORES AT THE NORTHERN LIGHT

In Kari Mar's ongoing coverup of criminal misconduct by Blaine officials, Northern Light reporters characterize the October 13, 2025 death threats by convicted violent felon David Brudvik against open government activists --in retaliation for our exposing municipal corruption--as conduct "that some residents perceived as threatening." Given Brudvik's motivation was a supposedly "anonymous letter" obtained by Blaine City Manager Mike Harmon--who is widely believed to be the architect of the October 13 'lynch mob' organized by former councilman Mike Hill to support Brudvik's death threats, one can only conclude that The Northern Light reporters are Harmon's whores.  In the story about the criminal justice commission investigation of retaliatory policing in Blaine, The Northern Light neglects to mention the November 4, 2025 civil protection orders from the Whatcom District Court article in The Northern Light excerpt below. In denying the mot...
