Under the Blaine Municipal Code, it is the responsibility of the mayor to prevent conflicts-of-interest at city hall. Under Mayor Steward, conflicts-of-interest flourished, resulting in the shameful resignations of Councilman Mike Hill and Planning Commissioner Sam Randhawa. Now, Steward's protege, Sarbjit Bains, is facing resignation or prosecution.

That's quite a record--three crooks in three years--all protected by Mayor Steward and city manager Mike Harmon. You guys are going to be infamous!

HARMON'S WHORES AT THE NORTHERN LIGHT

In Kari Mar's ongoing coverup of criminal misconduct by Blaine officials, Northern Light reporters characterize the October 13, 2025 death threats by convicted violent felon David Brudvik against open government activists --in retaliation for our exposing municipal corruption--as conduct "that some residents perceived as threatening."
