Smell the Coffee

[my June 2, 2024, letter to Blaine City Council]

The unanimous rejection by Blaine Planning Commission of your harebrained plan to privatize public parking downtown and the Blaine Water Coalition letter to the Washington State Health Department about your reckless incompetence failing to protect the Blaine city aquifer should give you pause to think about the consequences of your official misconduct that led to these responses. 

I am hopeful, but not optimistic, you will finally smell the coffee and end your 15-month lawless rampage that is pushing our city into bankruptcy.

Reckless Bigotry

In his Northern Light candidate interview , Cliff Freeman said the following:  "Stop the woke agenda that is poisoning the minds of our kids. Be it diversity training, CRT, social and emotional learning, inappropriate sex education, reducing parent’s rights, this transgender contagion, the list goes on. I will take a hard look at the curriculum. I need to understand the state requirements that promote this craziness as well as any district policies, if any, that contribute to it. Culture of Exclusion

BLAINE COMMUNITY FORUM Ending the Culture of Exclusion at Blaine City Hall As the city of Blaine experienced unprecedented growth over the last couple of years, citizens from Semiahmoo, Salishan and East Blaine contributed ideas on how to protect critical areas (city aquifer, Cain Creek, Drayton Harbor), how to kickstart prosperity at our civic center (new library, art center), and how to facilitate meaningful public participation in planning our future.
