Privatized Parking?

What's up with the city selling public parking to downtown developers? Are they going to privatize 120 spaces of on-street parking? That's the whole downtown!

Or is it a monetary contribution to go toward a municipal parking garage? If so, does that mean the new condo tenants use up all street parking leaving tourists with no parking until the municipal garage is built sometime in the distant future?

Blaine is already on the brink of bankruptcy having recently announced a 33% budget cut for 2024. Killing downtown recovery for a couple of condo developers will be the final nail in the coffin.

Reckless Bigotry

In his Northern Light candidate interview , Cliff Freeman said the following:  "Stop the woke agenda that is poisoning the minds of our kids. Be it diversity training, CRT, social and emotional learning, inappropriate sex education, reducing parent’s rights, this transgender contagion, the list goes on. I will take a hard look at the curriculum. I need to understand the state requirements that promote this craziness as well as any district policies, if any, that contribute to it. Defenders of Democracy

When malicious harassment in the form of Christian Patriot militias broke out in the Pacific Northwest, a group of researchers and organizers* collaborated to defend democracy. Their work from 1992-1997 prevented a repeat in Washington of the 1995 Oklahoma City bombing by Christian Patriots that claimed 168 lives. Key organizers standing up against racist vigilantes included Rudy Ryser, Bill Wassmuth (Idaho) and Eric Ward.
