CUT TO CHASE
July 9, 2026 letter to WA Criminal Justice Training Commission Investigator Lantz:
The CJTC needs to work with us as cooperating witnesses to retaliatory policing, and simultaneously as victims of CJTC violation of our constitutional rights. As CJTC cannot under the circumstances conduct an impartial Part Two of my case against the City of Blaine and the City of Ferndale police departments and administration, the CJTC needs to seek independent, uncompromised review by the Attorney General or a special trustee. Hence, my request that the CJTC ask the Governor to appoint an impartial administrative law judge to take over this investigation.
Lieutenant Governor Heck, President of the Washington State Senate, is aware of the Senator Shewmake interference with our CJTC complaints investigation. He will be following closely the recommendations of the Legislative Ethics Board, to which we filed complaints against Senator Shewmake, that involved Blaine Chief of Police Rodger Funk and his attorney, Rebecca Singleton. The LEB meets July 27, 2026.
Within this volatile context, the CJTC can no longer pretend to be neutral; it is under the spotlight for it's involvement in this newly-discovered scandal, that we only discovered due to our public records requests, which are as yet only half fulfilled--with more coming in another month. Until we get to the bottom of how extensive the CJTC involvement in conspiring to violate our constitutional rights goes, attempting to force us into premature interviews is a non-starter.
