RECORDS REVIEW PRIOR TO INTERVIEW
June 14 letter to Criminal Justice Training Commission:
Under the chaotic current circumstances at the criminal justice commission, I think it fair that I have a chance to review the records I requested, prior to scheduling my interview appointment. I need to understand the procedural defects in their entirety to comprehend what feels like a frameup, similar to what Blaine and Ferndale police departments did to us with the so-called investigation they conducted, that came to the same apparently predetermined decision, clearing the police of wrongdoing, despite their egregious unconstitutional conduct that now places my life in danger 24/7.
At the June 8, 2026 Blaine City Council meeting, the day the CJTC cleared the cops of retaliatory policing, Mayor Steward 1) publicly described protected civic activity as harassment, 2) alleged harm against city officials, and 3) stated, "Maybe when you're looking around the community and you see those people who have been responsible for their harassment, remember that. They are not our friends." I have requested a fee waiver for my public records request, as I am a low-income disabled senior, and it was the CJTC--not me--who created this unjust scenario that now rethreatens my life.
Mayor Steward used official public platforms to target identifiable protected petitioners, including me, after she had notice we were the targets of a judicially recognized threat to commit murder. Mayor Steward attended the Whatcom District Court protection order proceedings on November 4, 2025, and therefore knew that public targeting could increase the risk of harm, intimidation, and third-party harassment. Despite that notice, Mayor Steward on June 8 publicly described protected civic activity as harassment, alleging harm against city officials by me.
