BLAINE CRIMINAL ENTERPRISE

January 10 letter to Whatcom County Council:

While the Whatcom County Council wisely saw through the City of Blaine empire-building annexation plans, and rejected the proposed Birch Point annexation, you have yet to act on behalf of the public interest by intervening in the criminal enterprise run by the Blaine city government. Now, the Blaine Hearing Examiner, Phil Olbrechts, has been caught altering the public record by removing evidence unfavorable to developers at Birch Point. 

Whatcom County Council rejected Blaine's Birch Point annexation due in part to the existence of extensive wetlands and aquifers that moderate flooding and pollution of Birch Bay. The Avista Planned Unit Development is adjacent to the rejected annexation area, and according to Washington State Department of Ecology maps, contains extensive wetlands and aquifers. Whatcom County Planning uses the DOE maps, but Blaine created their own fake maps, showing little or no wetlands and aquifers.

In 2025, altering the public record by Blaine Community Development Services Director Alex Wenger (see attached) was brought to your attention. You chose to do nothing. Now, due in part to your negligence in upholding the law, it is routine for Blaine officials to commit felony fraud, removing public comments and evidence they don't like from official records. This fraud, and the associated intimidation by Blaine police (as well as a convicted violent felon friend of the mayor) of citizens holding them accountable, has led to the takeover of Blaine government by the real estate industry.

GUEST COMMENTARY REJECTED BY CASCADIA DAILY NEWS

The CDN article about the  East Blaine de-annexation  and UGA Swap excludes any mention of the extensively documented Blaine Water Coalition objections we sent to CDN well in advance. I feel this is not fair and balanced coverage. CDN reporter Julia Tellman attended the July 14, 2025 Blaine City Council meeting where as a city council vacancy applicant I introduced myself as a member of the Blaine Water Coalition (BWC) speakers bureau, and provided both an oral and written presentation with alleged legal violations by the city related to the proposed UGA Swap, as well as BWC's legal objections to previous well-documented evidence of City misconduct. Letter to County Prosecutor

To Mr. Eric J. Richey, Whatcom Prosecuting Attorney, 311 Grand, Ste. 201, Bellingham WA 98225 I write to you as Whatcom County Prosecuting Attorney in hope you will protect the rights of the people of Blaine from a city government that--due to embedded corruption--is unable to effectively govern and is putting our health and prosperity at risk by their unlawful acts.
