BLAINE COMP PLAN INVALID

September 7, 2025, letter to Whatcom County:

The City of Blaine 2025 Comprehensive Plan should be invalidated by Whatcom County for violating the letter and spirit of the Growth Management Act by 1) eliminating public participation, 2) concealing planning documents, and 3) retaliating against citizens who raise ethical questions about Blaine officials exposed self-dealing in recent rezone votes that removed critical area protection and reduced shoreline setbacks by half the county standard, all while lining their own pockets, which is a crime in Washington State. (The Whatcom County Prosecutor failed to act on my complaint.)

These dutiful citizens who objected to Community Development Services omitting environmental information from state agencies, who appealed fraudulent Community Development Services SEPA decisions, and who reported Blaine election fraud (Prop 7), demand that Whatcom County officials likewise do their duty to protect Blaine taxpayers and water resources.

Letter to County Prosecutor

To Mr. Eric J. Richey, Whatcom Prosecuting Attorney, 311 Grand, Ste. 201, Bellingham WA 98225 I write to you as Whatcom County Prosecuting Attorney in hope you will protect the rights of the people of Blaine from a city government that--due to embedded corruption--is unable to effectively govern and is putting our health and prosperity at risk by their unlawful acts. 1/30/25 letter to City of Blaine : BLAINE'S SHAME CCTV of Blaine City Council member Mike Hill accosting community activist Otto Pointer at the November 13, 2024, council meeting. Mike Hill, owner of Starbuck's and Chevron, as well as a downtown and CARA developer, has not recused himself when voting on zoning amendments to the Blaine Municipal Code that financially benefit him.
