Please tell us why you are interested in serving on this committee?1.The call for this ballot measure voter pamphlet committee applicants was never advertised, thus posing a legal procedural flaw. 2.The ballot measure resolutions explicitly link reduction of the Urban Growth Area (UGA) in East Blaine, which was unlawfully located over our Critical Aquifer Recharge Area (CARA), to a massive new UGA on the Semiahmoo Uplands, which is currently under Whatcom County jurisdiction, and located over another Critical Aquifer Recharge Area that serves drinking water to Birch Bay. 3. The proposed new Planned Unit Developments (PUDs) under the proposed UGA Swap, like the PUDs in East Blaine, have not been preceded by the state-mandated Environmental Impact Statements required for any development in a CARA.

To Mr. Eric J. Richey, Whatcom Prosecuting Attorney, 311 Grand, Ste. 201, Bellingham WA 98225 I write to you as Whatcom County Prosecuting Attorney in hope you will protect the rights of the people of Blaine from a city government that--due to embedded corruption--is unable to effectively govern and is putting our health and prosperity at risk by their unlawful acts. 1/30/25 letter to City of Blaine : BLAINE'S SHAME CCTV of Blaine City Council member Mike Hill accosting community activist Otto Pointer at the November 13, 2024, council meeting. Mike Hill, owner of Starbuck's and Chevron, as well as a downtown and CARA developer, has not recused himself when voting on zoning amendments to the Blaine Municipal Code that financially benefit him. This self-dealing is against the law.
