Not My Job Excuse

6/17/25 letter to county:

The lack of response from Whatcom County in addressing the GMA criminal enterprise by the City of Blaine mirrors that of the Washington State Department of Ecology; 'not my job'. Ecology says they only advise local government, and that if local government intentionally violates the State Environmental Policy Act and federal Clean Water Act, it's not their problem. Same with the Washington Attorney General. Which leaves citizens with preparing formal complaints to federal agencies and lawsuits in federal court to remedy what the Whatcom County Prosecutor could have prevented a year ago, by doing his job. 

Whatcom County Council members and local state representatives should be standing up for the rule of law in Blaine, but instead by their inaction and unresponsiveness aid official corruption. The fact that no county council members or legislators have expressed outrage over the well-documented environmental and civil rights abuses by the City of Blaine speaks volumes about how official corruption is allowed to proceed with impunity.

To Mr. Eric J. 1/30/25 letter to City of Blaine : BLAINE'S SHAME CCTV of Blaine City Council member Mike Hill accosting community activist Otto Pointer at the November 13, 2024, council meeting. Mike Hill, owner of Starbuck's and Chevron, as well as a downtown and CARA developer, has not recused himself when voting on zoning amendments to the Blaine Municipal Code that financially benefit him.
