Sidhu Incompetent

5/6/25 letter to Whatcom County:

Whatcom County Executive Satpal Sidhu should resign. By his own remarks in the public record he demonstrates a condescending, dismissive attitude toward citizens who question his competence to lead the Whatcom County 2025 Comprehensive Plan 10-year Update, which is a complete farce. By conducting the update in-house without "early and continuous public participation" as required under the Washington State Growth Management Act, Sidhu has allowed his planning staff to get the cart before the horse, allotting unjustifiable Urban Growth Areas without first proving the cities have adequate water to serve tens of thousands of new residents. This is backward.

Sidhu's neglect of his duty to supervise the cities under his jurisdiction is a recipe for corruption, such as that which has taken place in Blaine 2022-25. His misfeasance has already caused harm to the environment and citizens of Blaine, and his inattention to official misconduct by the City of Blaine makes Whatcom County liable.

To Mr. Eric J. 1/30/25 letter to City of Blaine : BLAINE'S SHAME CCTV of Blaine City Council member Mike Hill accosting community activist Otto Pointer at the November 13, 2024, council meeting. Mike Hill, owner of Starbuck's and Chevron, as well as a downtown and CARA developer, has not recused himself when voting on zoning amendments to the Blaine Municipal Code that financially benefit him.
