4/27/25 letter to City of Blaine:

When Blaine City Councilman Lewis attempted to perform CPR on the City of Blaine, the rest of you betrayed the public trust by 1. opposing a Code of Ethics, 2. opposing Public Participation, and 3. opposing the Rule of Law.

Lewis introduced motions to restore oral public comment at city council meetings--which was eliminated by Mayor Steward on February 12, 2024--and to adopt a code of ethics using the City of Ferndale model, as well as to adopt the legally required 2024 DOE stormwater management manual. The rest of you rejected all three after being misinformed by Blaine Community Development Services director Alex Wenger, misled by Blaine City Manager Mike Harmon, and misguided by Blaine City Attorney Peter Ruffato.

To Mr. Eric J. 1/30/25 letter to City of Blaine : BLAINE'S SHAME CCTV of Blaine City Council member Mike Hill accosting community activist Otto Pointer at the November 13, 2024, council meeting. Mike Hill, owner of Starbuck's and Chevron, as well as a downtown and CARA developer, has not recused himself when voting on zoning amendments to the Blaine Municipal Code that financially benefit him. This self-dealing is against the law.
