Wenger's Cabal

My letter to Blaine Planning Commission today:

Some of you might still be confused about your role as planning commissioners, functioning as toadies of Alex Wenger--director of Blaine Community Development Services (CDS) and Blaine SEPA official—rather than as guardians of the public interest. Wenger's dual role has been to create a cabal of developers and their sycophants to corrupt the planning process for private profit.

Much has been made by Mr. Wenger of the Downtown Advisory Committe's June 6, 2023, recommendations for zoning changes leading to your expedited consideration of these changes without examining the self-interests of the committee members supporting CDS instructions to vote for zoning changes that are financially beneficial to committee members themselves.

As a City of Blaine advisory group, why did Mr. Wenger select committee members that included a Lynden builder and a port employee from Bellingham. What relationships did he have with these people who acted as cheerleaders for Wenger's decision to have them change into a voting body to change zoning to financially benefit committee members such as downtown developer Gurdeep Bains. Why have none of you asked for an independent inquiry into this criminal misconduct?

As a pathological liar, Mr. Wenger's instructions to you should be questioned for their legality to state authorities that have jurisdiction over CDS decisions.

Reckless Bigotry

In his Northern Light candidate interview , Cliff Freeman said the following:  "Stop the woke agenda that is poisoning the minds of our kids. Be it diversity training, CRT, social and emotional learning, inappropriate sex education, reducing parent’s rights, this transgender contagion, the list goes on. I will take a hard look at the curriculum. I need to understand the state requirements that promote this craziness as well as any district policies, if any, that contribute to it. Culture of Exclusion
